Alaskan-owned and operated, the Hotel Captain Cook is the only Alaska member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. Located downtown, each of the 546 luxury guest rooms offers a stunning view of Anchorage’s coastline or the ruggedly beautiful Chugach Mountain Range. The hotel was built with the adventurer Captain Cook in mind. The dark, rich teak wood is reminiscent of the old ships that explored the coast of Alaska.
The hotel offers 14 meeting rooms, ranging from a 375 square-foot library to a 9,000 square-foot ballroom. There are five on-site dining options. The Crow’s Nest, the hotel’s premier dining establishment, is a AAA Four-Diamond fine dining restaurant perched atop the hotel’s complex, offering a blend of French and new American cuisines. The restaurant is known for its 10,000-bottle wine cellar and stunning views of downtown, the Chugach Mountains and Cook Inlet.
Fletcher’s, named for the man behind the historic mutiny on the Bounty, features classic pub fare and Alaska microbrews.
The Pantry, an indoor sidewalk eatery located in the lobby, features classic hearty breakfasts as well as Alaska specialties.
The Whale’s Tail Bistro and Wine Bar is radically new and innovative. There are 32 wines to choose from in Alaska’s first self-serve wine dispensing system. Enjoy the cozy fire or sit at the bar to enjoy sliders or a martini.
Grab specialty coffee, convenient breakfast, or snacks at the Cubby, centrally located on the main level of Tower II.
The hotel also features a spa and athletic club. There is a full-service business center and several boutique shops for the discerning shopper.
