Anchorage International Film Festival

Grab some popcorn. The Anchorage International Film Festival (AIFF) features international and independent films, and is recognized as one of the “25 Coolest Film Festivals.” Alaska’s largest film festival features Alaskan auteurs and introduces new films and filmmakers from around the world to all the creative magic of the Great Land. The silver screen shines when the annual festival returns.

The festival will be on screens all over town December 4-13, 2026. With screenings all over Anchorage, visiting filmakers from all over the globe, this festival is a showcase for the best features, documentaries, short films, and animation. Past AIFF award winners have gone on to win Academy Awards as well as honors at major film festivals. Fillmakers think highly of it too, ranking it one of the best film festival experiences out there.
