New Year's Events in Anchorage

After sunset, celebrate New Year’s Eve downtown. The main attraction will be the festivities in the Chinook parking lot at 3rd Avenue and E Street. The Anchorage Downtown Partnership organizes the annual celebration which features live music performances. The fireworks display goes up at 8 p.m. There are several events, VIP receptions, and other festivities to extend the night.

New Year's Eve in Girdwood

This year Alyeska Resort stays up late with live music and the Torchlight Ski Parade. Skiers and snowboarders light up the night at 9 p.m. for the Torchlight Parade followed by fireworks and a performance from Roland Roberts Band at the Sitzmark.
